Tuesday, December 25, 2018:  Christmas Day 2018: Brezoi

            Merry Christmas everyone from Romania! 

It was 6:45am before the group of men came to sing/chant for us. Our host was expecting them soon after 4:00. They were given drinks and some Christmas bread, before they went on to the next home. Normally there are two groups who go to homes, but this year there was just one group, thus the reason for them being late.

After the singers left, we went back to bed until 9:30.  Since Santa arrived last night, Christmas morning was anti climatic.  Christmas day was very slow.  We did not leave the house.  Breakfast was over around 11:00, lunch was served at 4:00, and there was an evening snack around 8:30.

Merry Christmas Cake

We worked on the rest of our trip with our host.  Planning destinations since they have a better idea of road conditions and making overnight reservations.  It has been almost impossible to determine how far you can drive in one day.  Also, we want to stop driving before it is dark, which is soon after 4:00, so deciding how far we can go in one day, is not simple.  We have made hotel reservations for the rest of our time in Romanian, since it is the holiday season.  We just need to be sure to be on the road by 8:30, no later than 9:00, so we have 6-7 hours to drive, and sight see along the way. 

Everyone was in bed by 9:45-10:00.  Everyone relaxed today, and everyone was tired.  We of course are sleeping in strange beds, so we do not sleep as well.
