McPherson to Inuvik NWT- end of the road! Returned to Eagle Plain, Yukon
As we
continued north from Ft McPherson, we had to cross the Mackenzie River on
another ferry. We finally arrived in
Inuvik. The town was larger than we expected, 2300 people which is large for here. There we a lot of larger more
modern buildings than we have been seeing in the north. We found a restaurant in the
Mackenzie Hotel, for our breakfast and WIFI!
We drove around, stopping at the Visitors Center, filling our tank with
gas, before we began the trip south. 450
miles of gravel! However, soon after we left Inuvik heavy clouds settled in,
later it began to rain. It has been a
rather miserable day, and it was difficult to take good photos.

We are as
far south as the Eagle Plains restaurant and motel tonight. We will be here for the night. We took some photos today, but the color is
simply not good, due to the rain and clouds.
