We are taking the day off. It has been over a week since Cal began
riding. He is disappointed with the
distance he has traveled in that time, but with the humidity, he just has to
stop by 1:00-1:30 in the afternoon so his body can recover for the next day. Like our kids tell him, “it is not a race”,
plus we have enjoyed visiting the antebellum homes and other historic things
along the way. It has not been a point A
to point B bike ride with no diversions.

We are on the north side of Jackson,
MS just ready to ride/drive along the beautiful Ross Barnett Reservoir. Today we went by a replica of an old cabin inn,
“stand” as they were called, that is now a Park Service office with nice rest rooms.
